We were treated to a 'show' where the children gave out tickets (number snails), made seatbelts (using hula hoops) and ice creams/lollies (paintbrushes). They built a makeshift stage and used musical instruments while they sang and danced. Showing lots of imaginative skills!
We played noughts and crosses using our special painted stones and the tree stump and our new snap cards have seen lots of small group games indoors. We have looked at patterns (similarities and differences) by drawing different types of footwear such as sandals, shoes and trainers and some children noticed their shadows when the sun was shining. We compared sizes and tried to jump on each others shadows!
The duplo and animals have been out a lot this week as well as the popoids and people and we have continued building towers and bridges with the wooden blocks and bricks. We have washed the dolls using scrubbing brushes and watered our flowers and vegetables. We have read lots of stories, one about going to school and another about a bird called Naked Trevor which the children found very funny! We also read The Very Hungry Caterpillar using the story props and we plan to continue this after the half term break when our real caterpillars should be arriving at Squirrels!
Have a lovely half term and don't forget to do lots of physical activities and eat lots healthy foods. We look forward to seeing all you have been doing when you bring back your sponsor forms. Have lots of fun and keep safe!
