things for our Christmas folders, including salt dough shapes. We are
still practising hard for our Nativity and it’s very important that we keep
singing the Christmas songs every day at home.
On Monday and Tuesday we made a road for the remote control cars and we
took turns to see if we could make them go backwards and forwards. We
played with our new dolls house and furniture and we built models from
stickle bricks and Knex.
On Wednesday we made a huge wish list for Santa to see when he comes to
visit us at our Christmas party next week. We are going to hang it up on
the wall at Squirrels. We have played musical chairs, musical bumps,
musical statues and follow the leader.
We continue to have fun in the leaves outside as most of them have fallen
off the trees now and the ground is covered in them. We worked together
using brooms and rakes and made a huge pile of leaves. Then we played some
games, hiding things in the leaves, hiding each other in the leaves and getting
great big handfuls to throw up in the air. We had ‘leaf showers’
and leaf hunts.
On Thursday we helped to decorate Squirrels own Christmas tree. We
had to place the decorations on very carefully and we did such a good job that
on Friday Heather and Cyril said we could decorate the Community Centre tree in
the big hall. We had a picnic snack by the tree and practised
our Christmas songs. Don’t forget to look at our trees next week when you
come to Squirrels.
See you all at our Nativity and Christmas Fayre on Wednesday next
week. Don’t forget all children must be accompanied by an adult at
this event. Bring your pennies as there will be lots of things to buy
including your child’s own handprint placemat. The party food list is on
the table outside Squirrels for you to fill in and please tick the
children’s name list so that we know who is coming to the
Nativity/Party.
