On Wednesday we welcomed Amy into the setting for the day. Amy began working with us for her work experience from school a few years ago and loves to come back and see us when she can. The children love having her in and it is always lovely to see her.
On Friday we had our sports day and the children took part in races including the egg and spoon race, sack race and balancing the beanbag on the head. Younger siblings were invited to take part in a toddlers race and then the parents took centre stage, (all that training played its part and I'm sure you will all be ready for the parents race at big school next year!!)
The week ended with our summer fayre, expertly organised by Joanne and her team. We all had a great day, tinged with the sadness of having to say goodbye to so many of our children. The staff would like to extend their thanks to all the families for their lovely gifts and kind words. We would also like to offer a particular thank you to William and Kiera for their gifts to the children for next September. We will think about you every time we use them.
Have a lovely summer. For those starting school we wish you good luck and don't forget to come a see us sometimes. To those returning next year we look forward to seeing you on the 7th September.
Happy Holidays
Love from Anita, Fiona, Karen, Gill, Kelly, Jo, Helen, Julie and Mel
